In your post, discuss the different ways to assess the ability of your students to read a text.
- Look at the narrative and expository texts that you selected in Activity 1-A-1. Evaluate their readability using the tools presented in the Key Information. Note your observations in the Discussion.
- Show the books to at least two children and explain how you determined if the books were appropriate for them to read. Use specific examples.
- Discuss why it is important to determine the readability of a text when working with children.
